Andres Palacios studied architecture and urban planning and has a Masters degree in Industrial Design from the Scuola Politecnica di Design, the first postgraduate school for design disciplines in Italy, founded in Milan, Italy in 1954. With thirteen years of experience in handcraft design and product development, he specializes in the connection between handmade products and the contemporary global design market, the experimental development of products derived from different handcraft traditions, cultural revival, and the channeling of traditional artisan skills towards competitive contemporary home décor, fashion, and furniture markets. His experience includes the design and implementation of exhibitions, retail stores and a diverse range of temporary commercial venues for handcrafts and handmade production.
